God speaks directly to the soul – the Soul is who you are in His presence.

It is far too easy to fall into patterns of negativity, discouragement, prideful living, and good enough Christianity.  It is very easy to muddle through each day and watch the world slip on by.

I was waiting to live. I put my life on hold for no reason except I was in a pattern of good enough Christianity. That is not to say that I didn’t make each day count, I just made each day count for the wrong reason. My purpose is God, my life is His. Coasting day to day not fully engaging in service to the Lord is every bit as wrong as going out and blatantly sinning. God doesn’t put a scale on sin. Sin is sin, and the sin of complacency is what held me back for far too long.

I am not waiting to live anymore, I am searching for opportunities to glorify my Lord and Savior and I am seeking ways that I can be a light for Him in this dark world. God has been speaking to my soul and His voice is filling me up with songs of praise and worship, wonder and love.

My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:1-5
