Last night was President Trump’s first State of the Union address. I don’t want to get political here but I noticed a couple of things about our President as I sat watching and listening to him speak. He has changed a great deal in the last year. He has become more refined and more presidential. He is embracing his position and is growing into his role.
That got me thinking, this is kind of the story of life. Growth! We are born, and immediately start growing and learning. As the years go by we experience life, and this causes us to grow emotionally and in maturity. The older we get the more we realize that our life should have direction and purpose and that we are not expected to do it all on our own, nor are we expected to be perfect.
We may not get everything right, and we may make mistakes and bad choices from time to time but if we learn from each experience we will grow.
Proverbs 1:5 A wise man will hear and increase in learning. And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel.
