Wow, God is amazing. He has given us everything we need to understand Him and who we are in Him. We just have to look to Him. We have to let Him move in our life.

Life is busy, it is so easy to get bogged down in the here and now, day after day going through the motions attending to responsibilities and tasks – taking care of right now and not looking at eternity.

God is very patient with us and He allows us that time to do our own thing, gently reminding us day after day that He is our purpose. It is important to handle the responsibilities and the daily needs of our right now, but when that becomes the focus we don’t grow.

I have been so self focused that I didn’t just not grow. I went backwards. I didn’t even see it happening. My thoughts, my heart and my hopes were in the right place, but spiritually I was just stagnant. I was okay with just ‘doing my now’ and not making changes or searching for growth because I knew that soon my scenery would change, my world would change, and then I would start living the way I was created to live. For Him.

God doesn’t say we can do what we want and live for Him when our circumstances line up. He wants a relationship through the hard times, the good times, and the just muddling through times.

Lord I have let you down, I have let my sinful nature take root in my life. Lord I come to you broken and fallen at your feet. Lord, my heart is yours. Change me, move me, help me. I will make you proud.
